Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts

I recently discovered the beauty of an air fryer. Add that to my love for bacon and Brussel sprouts and bam! As you know, Brussel sprouts are near and dear to my heart. I shared my cheesy Brussel sprout recipe and today I am sharing a bacon-wrapped Brussel sprout recipe that you truly satisfy you!

What is an Air Fryer?

First things first, what the heck is an air fryer? Pretty simple actually. An air fryer is a mini version of a convection oven. It cooks by circulating hot air around the food using the convection mechanism. Now onto Brussel sprouts wrapped in bacon!

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts

My obsession with all things bacon and Brussel sprouts began a few years back when my husband made a rockin’ bacon, butter, Brussel sprouts, and onion side dish for Thanksgiving.

Brussel sprouts are a type of cabbage grown especially for the edible buds. Low in fat and high in fiber, Brussel sprouts have grown in popularity over the years. Also, a great source of Vitamin C (like over 100% in one serving), protein, B-6, Vitamin A, and Calcium. Definitely on my superfood list.

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts

  • 1 pound Brussel sprouts, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 pound bacon, sliced in half lengthwise

Steps to Make Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts

  1. Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, toss Brussel sprouts in olive oil. Add salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
  3. Loosely wrap a long piece of bacon around each brussel sprout, overlapping slightly. The bacon will shrink as it cooks and will squeeze off the brussel sprout if it is too tight.
  4. Place bacon-wrapped Brussel sprouts into the air fryer basket with the bacon end facing down.
  5. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes until bacon is crisp, turning once about halfway.
