So, when I arrived home, I put deviled eggs on my weekly menu. So easy to make and the variations are fun to put together. Below is a classic recipe but I have been known to add relish, bacon, and other goodness to the mix. See below for different deviled egg recipes.
1 dozen eggs, boiled, peeled, halved with yokes reserved
3 to 4 tablespoons mayonnaise, depending on desired consistency
2 tablespoons dill relish
½ teaspoon celery salt
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon yellow mustard
Salt, to taste
Paprika to sprinkle on top
How to Make Deviled Eggs
Cut eggs in half lengthwise
Mash yokes into crumbles
Add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise and remaining ingredients to the egg yolks. Stir together and test for seasoning and consistency. Adjust seasonings and add more mayo if needed.
Transfer yolk mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large open star tip.
Press yolk mixture into egg white halves.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
