What is the best book on stopping drinking?

If you are on the path to stopping drinking, there is no one book to satisfy every person. I know, not the answer you wanted, but it is honest.

We each have a unique story, and therefore, what words, books, or approaches to control drinking will differ. If you’re like me, which book or approach depends on where I am in my journey?

Initially, I was curious about changing my habits and how the mind works. So, a book like Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg made my tires spin. Then, I picked up This Naked Mind, which opened my eyes to the control alcohol can have on a person. The books also provided helpful information about detoxing from alcohol (such as PAWS), which was on my mind.

Later in my journey, I utilized Brene Brown and Thich Naht Hahn for inspiration, perspective, and motivation to live sober. Whatever your reason for quitting alcohol (maybe you want to live longer? detox? live a simpler life? or decrease brain fog and increase focus?), these quit-lt books will guide you.
